AIM: At the end of the training participants will have an increased knowledge of sexual health issues and will have explored and practiced how to incorporate sexual health and the distribution of condoms within their current roles.
OUTCOMES - Participants will:
Gain knowledge about the local and national trends in STIs, HIV and teenage pregnancy.
Have gained knowledge and understanding of sexual health issues. Core topics include STIs, HIV, condoms and other barrier contraception, other contraceptives and sex and the law.
Learn to do a condom demonstration.
Have increased confidence in communicating with people about sexual health, condom use and exploring attitudes towards sex.
Explore their own values and attitudes around sex and relationships.
Understand the barriers that discourage people from accessing sexual health services and how we can ensure they services are young people friendly.
Be able to participate in the delivery of condom schemes within their roles.
COST - Free to professionals working in Hackney & The City. If you are work outside of Hackey & The City there will be a charge for attendance. Priority will be given to professionals working in Hackney & The City.
